Update on Mini 8 inch Ipad

News have surfaced that suppliers have created 8 inch engineering samples resembling a smaller version of the 10 inch ipad 2. Knowing that the Amazon kindle fire is dominating the budget tablet line this would be a good move for apple.

  1. I think it could use a little bulky design

  3. I got the new Nook. It's so much better than the Kindle. I've gotten a bit tired of Apple of late. Apple is trying to be competitive and company's have to do that to survive these days.

    1. Anne, I think the difference is negligible, and really depends on how into the ecosystem of Amazon you are. If you are already rocking a prime membership then getting a kindle is almost a no brainer, free ebooks from the lending library, and free movies from the Amazon on demand streaming. Baring that I like B&N Nook touch better than I like the comparable kindle but then I don't have access to the Amazon exclusives. Lock-in and integration are valuable data points to consider for people to consider.

  4. I'm just not down for these tablets. I have a laptop and take it when I need to go places. The end.

  5. I will never buy an overpriced feature limited device. That being said I will never buy an Apple product ever.

  8. Tablets are way overpriced for what their capabilities are, you can get a decent laptop or desktop for the price of a measly tablet. Personally not worth it in my opinion.

  14. because apple isn't already nearly dominating the market in profit margins, while the children who create their products are working in sweatshops. aren't i a ray of sunshine? ;)

  15. I'm too old to read the print on those small things. I can manage email on my phone, but Facebook or shopping on such a small screen, forget it.

  22. I hope that Amazon keeps pace with this, I don't want to see the market totally dominated by Apple.
