Next generation AMD (Enhanced Bulldozer) cpu to be codenamed "Piledriver"

Just like all cpu releases the new "Piledriver" series cpu's will deliver more performance with a decreased TDP. Thew new core design allows for cpus with up to 10 cores on 1 die. These new CPUs will also most likely use the AM3+ platform and are predicted to perform roughly 10-20% faster than bulldozer.

  2. Although I am very unlearned in the design, implementation, and distribution processes of these chipset has, I fear that more speed could be used to hasten a faster and cheaper age. Those that would hold onto the cutting edge too long have got to bleed for their efforts.

  5. I'm still on the quad Phenom here. I don't plan on upgrading the board and CPU anytime soon, but I am going to drop in new HD's on my raid array this year.
