Great free PC tune-up program Glary Utilities

If you've never run a PC tune-up program before Glary Utilities is a good place to start. This program has all the basic cleaning and optimizing tools such as registry cleaner, registry defrag, and startup optimization. If your interested in this program you can get it here.

  6. This is a decent start but really reformatting every 6 months is the best option. (and easy if you set your system up correctly)
