Fisker Atlantic - Plug in electric car

The new Fisker Atlantic is a high performance mid size electric plug-in coupe featuring an electric engine around 300HP. The expected pricing of this new car is expected to be roughly 50-60k. With all the financial difficulty Fisker is currently having hopefully this lower priced coupe (compared to Karma) will do well.

  2. A 300HP pure-electric engine? I find that slightly hard to believe. That's amazing though... I'm not sold on the look, but the rims are definitely stylin.

  3. Ooooh!!! I like this one! It's so sporty... unfortunately, I won't be buying a 60K car anytime soon :(

  4. I hope this one doesn't have the many problems that the Karma had, and the price is too good!

  6. That is pretty awesome for an electric, but I have one problem with electric cars. Electricity mostly comes from coal burning power plants, so an electric car is only a way to make you feel better about yourself. You still have to pay for the electric fees. However, if you have an alternative source of electricity (damn, nuclear, wind), then I guess an electric car is a good idea. Otherwise, however, it is just a feel good thing that accomplishes nothing.

  7. If i could afford a car and could drive id get one, of course they could do solar powered ones. But the solar cells are so primitive, theirs no investment in it. I suppose we must wait till the oil companies decide that we can have them.

  16. Dear Baur, as one of your commenters said, "let's hope the car comes with a tax credit." I'd add--a hefty one! Peace.
